In Italy Again...

This past weekend we had two Italian baked goods: calzone and pizza. Calzone in Italian is "trouser" or "stocking", according to Wikipedia, and it's originally pronounced "kal-tso-nay". Ours was filled with loads of mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, spiced with roasted garlic and herbs, and topped with our homemade tomato sauce.

The calzone featured in this picture is the one we didn't eat yet - I was so ready to eat that I forgot to take a picture of the one with the sauce... We'll have this one sometime this week!

Last night we had Sicilian pizza again - and it was just as yummy as it was before!

But there were some differences - this time it was topped with onion and basil!
Mmm... we have some more of that as well!

Mmmm... I wish you could see the utterly depressing meal I just made out of raw cookie dough so you could appreciate how good you've got it!

I'm intrigued - a meal made out of raw cookie dough... you'll have to tell me about it!

Note to self: do not read Dorit's blog when hungry.

Oh, now I remember what I was talking about here.

Chris likes cookies. I go to the store and act like I don't like cookies in hopes that I won't buy them and eat them. Chris buys cookies. Then I realize all of a sudden that I DO like cookies and I eat all of them before Chris gets to enjoy them.

So I was making a batch of I'm-sorry-I-ate-all-your-cookies cookies. And I ate half of the dough while it was still unbaked.

After that, I didn't want dinner. So the cookies became my dinner.

I think that is depressing.

I need help.
